Marketing The Food Expert

A local celebrity Chef Sultan (name changed to protect anonymity) based on East London approached us with a problem that his 25-year-old restaurant is facing declination in sales and he use to do more than 40+ catering jobs but now he barely receives 10 per month.

He is known to make some of the authentic dishes of Pan Asia, Indian and Pakistani and people used to love him, but with the digital age, came new competitors who are technically savvy to overthrow this old-school chef within months.

He has tried reviving his business as past by establishing a basic website with few content and his location details but saw no improvement as guessed.

Goal of the Project

He wants us to build him a strong digital presence and support him to target the young and the old crowd by rebranding his business color schemes while maintaining the ancient authentic value his customers love him for.

He also wanted to create a competitive advantage which others would not adapt any sooner resulting him to maintain strong sales and market share.

Project “Chicken Tikka”

We compiled a team of 3 members, a UI UX Designer, Full Stack Web Developer and Content Creator.

Once we have done the competitors analysis, internal business model review of Chef Sultan and SWOT, we were glad to proceed with the next stage which is design and develop.

Using No-Code Technology, we designed and built a quick web app that could display his restaurant and dishes with interactive menus. Also added online booking system where customers can reserve tables, order dishes before they arrive and to make reservations online for future catering requirements.

We had to work hard to get the search engines recognized, but once it was done the following steps were easy peasy.

Established social media channels with free schedulers where he can manage all handles at one place and upload once.

Within 6 weeks, Chef Sultan saw progressive growth in business, received online orders and has started free delivery in his area.

Once the job weldone, he treated us with his special Indian Dishes and assorted naan breads including unlimited refills from his dessert. Realized we should work more with restaurants to enjoy the perks and rewards.
